We knew one long championship drought would end no matter who won this World Series. It’s the Indians who are on the brink after a Game 4 win. Corey Kluber was stellar for the second time this series and Cleveland showed some power that the Cubs have been lacking. The Indians will try to close out the Cubs at Wrigley tonight. The Indians relied on their usual playoff formula last night: a short but strong outing from their starting pitcher and a shut-down bullpen. The only run came on a pinch hit single, but it was enough to give Cleveland a 2 games to 1 lead in the World Series. Read all about it in my CBS Local recap.
The 2016 World Series is tied thanks to Jake Arrieta and the middle of the Cubs lineup.
